When mines do better, communities do better.
We want responsible mining to produce lasting benefits for mine owners, workers and their communities. Results should be supported by evidence.
Mine support
Our areas of interest include safer working, mine planning, responsible production and access to suitable expertise.
The project descriptions supplied for this website are awaiting dates, scope and outcome evidence. We are not presenting them as completed ASMRAF results. They remain in the internal completion register for review.
Community priorities
Water, energy, skills and local livelihoods are potential areas for collaboration. A proposal is not a funded or completed project.
ASMRAF is funded only by corporate, industry and individual memberships. Any future programme must have an agreed scope, responsible people and a documented funding arrangement before commitments are announced.
What a published case study will show
We will distinguish proposed work, work in progress and completed work.
- The date, safe location description and organisations involved.
- What ASMRAF actually did and who can verify it.
- Evidence of the result, including limitations and who benefited.
- Consent for any photographs or personal stories, without revealing sensitive mine locations.
